Treasure - Virtual Geocaching App Reviews

This app has me stuck in the "connect to twitter" page! Havent even tried it but fix the glitch and maybe I will.

This game offers a new twist on integrating social networks and virtual geocaching thats unique, fun and easy. Looking for a reason to get out and explore your neighborhood? Aspire to new levels of theivery? Looking to make your mark but cant afford a can of spay paint? Treasure can help you out! I rarely review apps, but theres so much fun to be had with this one, I couldnt resist. The best part is that you dont even need a shovel!

Its a solid little system, but theres no one in my area to play with yet. Luckily, that means I have no thieves, and the system seems to have a random drop generator for those of us in the boonies waiting for the world to catch-up to us. :)

The game is sort of like virtual geocaching. Its an interesting concept and the client is pretty solid. I spoke with the dev briefly and he seemed genuinely interested in my feedback and that is always a good thing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I feel like the game needs a liitle more so to speak. The items are a little sparse but at this point that seems to help the game rather than hinder it. However, as the number of players grows, Id like to see more. More robots, more traps, different scan types and more importantly, different types of valuables (maybe even with a museum to view them). Overall impression: Solid game. Ill see you online.

Never taken the time for a review, but this one is worth it! Cant wait to see it get more recognition!

No one in my area to play with. But seems like fun. I will try to plant some gold and see what happens.

********************************* Okay, so the other day my eldest son had a particularly bad day, and I wanted to try and cheer him up a bit. So I started up this app and gave him a brief overview of how to use the scans and map. We hopped in the car and headed out to seek treasure! I let him take complete corneal of navigation and simply drove, turning where he indicated (as allowed by traffic laws), and stopping when he said so. We burned up an entire afternoon and by the time it was over, he was positively glowing. It was a great father/son day that empowered him to use teh technology, learn some of the local streets, and pick up a few traffic laws as well. :) We got to spend an afternoon together, chat it up, and have a blast at the same time. All because of this wonderful little, free application. Kudos, and my thanks, to Josh an his receptiveness to feedback, and drive to create truly unique, and useful applications. My boy and I are closer, and we have more gold coins to invest so that we can hopefully entice others to come after us and test out some of our defenses! High marks. Thanks for a great time, and a family bonding experience. :) ********************************* Taking geo-caching to the next level, this game makes the experience interactive, and competitive like never before. Or, you can play by yourself, if thats more your speed. I always wanted to try geo-caching, but didnt want to haul around bits of whatever people stash. This hits both those points and more. With true opportunity for character advancement and player interaction (player vs. Player even), Josh is onto something big here! He is also interested in ideas to improve/change the game, and responds quickly to feedback/suggestions. Highly recommended.

This is a fun game, but it has its little bugs and glitches. Right now my robot is walking 10 meters to a pile of coins. Its taking him 839 hours. Its been taking him 839 hours for a week. My gold is out there for anyone to find.

First thing I do when I pick up my phone in the morning is check my cache! Great way to make road time interesting.

Its a fun game. I log on most days and do a scan. Not much in my immediate area, but when I go somewhere new, I always check it out as well. Had a problem with my scan count recently. I e-mailed Josh (the creator) and he got back to me right away, and had the problem fixed the next day. I appreciated the personal attention to the problem. He mentioned in the e-mail that some updates are in the works as well!

The reason for only 4 stars is: 1) Its a great idea that there is nothing physically to take or leave at the find. 2)Please allow for the Minion to travel while the app is not on. 3) Why not give free scans? Id pay for the app or even pay for wider then the 5 mile scans that are there now. You would have a lot of new customers/user if you did.

Too bad. No updates. Must not read the feedback. Could be alot of fun. Wake up.

fun game! I love when im in an area that has little population and I can burry my treasure for a while, noone messes with it and its great! I also love the competition when Im in close proximity of someone else, they keep me interested and on my toes!

This was the first GPS game that I ever played on my iPhone and its still my favorite.

Crashes constantly, used to be fun when it worked, seems like it has been abandoned by its makers!

I used to like playing this one, but as others have mentioned- theres work to be done on it but no support from the creator. Sad.

Terrible interface, poor graphics, and nothing to do. Bury some treasure, only there is nothing else around here and nobody playing.

Go search for Travelers Quest and play that!

Too glitchy, sounds like a good idea but cant get it to start up without locking

First off theres a better game available called Travelers Quest that does what this one does not. Seeing how this is still running on V 1.1 I assume the developers dont give two poops about it. Ill be deleting this now.
